This is my first full-time office position. Before that, I'd always been working in jobs where you had to actually work. This is a job where I had to think, and I feel happy coming in to work. "I work here at DHE, in Phoenix. I'm a dock worker and a hostler. A hostler is a guy who moves the trailers out that are empty and puts the full ones back in the dock. What I do here is unload trucks and I load them back up. As soon as we unload a trailer, I'll hustle it out, move that empty trailer out, put a full one back in, and we continue the same process over again. It's really important because we have schedules that we have to meet and we have to unload the trailers and load them all up. That way the truck drivers can get out here on time to make their deliveries on time.

I value my job here at Dependable because we have important schedules to meet. In order for us to fill them we have to all work together and get the trucks in and out. We have a good team - everybody works together, everybody helps each other. If you see a guy struggling, everybody runs over there to help the guy out. The management here at DHE is really considerate of anybody who has any problems or whatnot here, at this place. They really understand and they work with you. I happened to get arthritis while I was working here and I didn't know what it was. What's great about this company is they worked with me about it. I didn't know what it was at first, so I had to take a few days off. Some days I feel good, some days I don't feel good. But these guys were cool about it. They worked with me on it, so I got everything working well, and everything is cool now. They're just an awesome crew to work with."

"A normal day at Dependable is coming in and telling everybody "good morning" and start rolling the ball on all my businesses. I know our companies, all the companies that we have. Company owners need their freight in a timely manner and they need it right away. The role I play here is dealing with our customers. Asking them what we can do better, if everything's going correctly, can we do anything else - to help them out when they receive their shipments. Our customers like the quality and the way we deliver. The most interesting thing about working here is speaking to our customers. I like it. I love talking. My customers like it when we reach out to them. We do everything we can for our customers because they are the ones that are keeping us going. I like the people who I work with. Really friendly, really family-oriented. We get to know each other very well and we get to help each other out. We all get to know how we're doing with our families. And if something happens with them, something happens with us, something happens with the company. I love the feeling from here. It's a very good feeling to work for Dependable."
