Item 508, LOADING AND UNLOADING BY DHE
(a) DHE will furnish only one employee per vehicle for loading or unloading except when the consignor or consignee requests DHE to furnish extra labor for loading or unloading. Extra labor will be chargeable at applicable hourly rate. (See Rule 230)
(b) Freight tendered for loading or unloading must be so situated by the consignor or consignee as to be directly accessible to the vehicle or to be immediately adjacent to a parking space suitable for the DHE to lawfully park the vehicle for loading or unloading.
• RESTRICTIONS ON LOADING OR UNLOADING BY DHE:
(a) Loading or unloading service does not include assembling, packing, unpacking, dismantling, inspecting, sorting or segregating or the opening of packages or unitized shipments including shrink-wrapped or banded freight on pallets or skids.
(b) Loading or unloading service does not include furnishing or use by DHE’s employee of any special loading or unloading equipment. When such equipment is used or necessary, the consignor or consignee must furnish it, and the labor to use it.
